These terms of use are applicable when using the infrastructure and the websites offered by Tenerife wifi and its partners. The company website can be viewed at http://www.tenerifewifi.com

By using this network you accept these terms of use and you commit yourself to complying with these terms of use.

Neither Tenerife wifi nor any manager or official of any site which the user is visiting can be held liable for the contents of the site or its use, directly or indirectly. As such, Tenerife wifi does not make any undertaking and does not offer any guarantee in connection with the continuity of connectivity, the software, the products or the operation of the services offered on its website or via its repeater network access. Nor does Tenerife wifi guarantee the correctness of the information offered via its repeater network. Tenerife wifi has the right to modify the access stipulations and the information presented at any time. Any exoneration to the advantage of Tenerife wifi unconditionally applies to partners of Tenerife wifi.

Tenerife wifi network infrastructure, wifi receivers, wifi repeaters, digital phone service, software, firmware, and any other hardware purchased or leased from Tenerife wifi are designed and intended for recreational purposes only. This system is not intended or designed for mission critical applications and should not be relied upon to provide any form of communications or service that could jeopardize life, limb, property, job performance, school studies and deadlines or any other purpose for which you could be penalized for a failure in the system.


If links are established via Tenerife wifi with other sites - directly or via search engines - Tenerife wifi does not bear responsibility for the links, the contents or the existence of these other sites. Tenerife wifi has no control over the links, the contents or other features of these websites. Anyone using these search engines has to be aware that the internet can contain information which is illegal, unlawful or damaging and acknowledges Tenerife wifi can not be held liable in any way for errors in addresses of websites or domain names on its sites.

Helpdesk :

The helpdesk is for customers who have Tenerife wifi repeaters and are having difficulties with their connection. Tenerife wifi cannot be held liable in any way for any discontinuities whilst providing the helpdesk to users. Please follow the instructions from the help desk explicitly. The sole purpose of the helpdesk is to assist customers in getting connected to their mobile wifi repeaters wireless signal with a wireless device only, and if necessary, adjusting the wireless network settings. The users accept that it is not the intention of the helpdesk to offer more extensive services. Tenerife wifi is not in any way liable for any damage, whatever the cause or nature of that damage, which the user may incur using the helpdesk or Tenerife wifi network in general, whether it be to his/her computer, his/her documents or files on his/her computer.

Intellectual rights:

The contents of Tenerife wifi websites are protected at all times by the applicable intellectual rights (brands, copyrights, trademarks, patents, etc...). Using, copying, translating, editing, modifying or distributing the entire site or part thereof in any way, shape or form is prohibited, unless prior written consent has been obtained from Tenerife wifi.  Any breach of such intellectual rights can lead to civil or criminal prosecution. The users of Tenerife wifi network explicitly commit themselves to respect the intellectual rights of Tenerife wifi and third parties. Tenerife wifi reserves the right to take action as it sees fit and to take all measures it deems suitable to stop or prevent breaches of its intellectual rights or those of third parties, without the possibility of them being held liable as a result of these initiatives, regardless the reason.

What's this all about?

The following list details all the uses of Tenerife wifi Internet services that we consider unacceptable - in other words, unfair usage. Tenerife wifi maintains and promotes a policy of fair and acceptable usage at all times, so please ensure that any use of Tenerife wifi services, by yourself or anyone in your household or office, doesn't in any way contradict the restrictions listed below. You will also find your responsibilities to help keep our network secure listed at the end of this Fair and acceptable usage policy.

Please ensure that anyone using your account to access Tenerife wifi Internet services agrees with this Policy and is aware of their obligations under it. This extends to your children or members of your household or your employees or office workers or any one accessing the network through your home or office.
So what can Tenerife wifi services not be used for?

  1. Unlawful, fraudulent, criminal or otherwise illegal activities
  2. Sending, receiving, publishing, posting, distributing, disseminating, encouraging the receipt of, uploading, downloading, recording, reviewing, streaming or using any material which is offensive, abusive, defamatory, indecent, obscene, unlawful, harassing or menacing or a breach of the copyright, trademark, intellectual property, confidence, privacy or any other rights of any person
  3. Commercial purposes (unless you are a member who is working from home as a sole trader in business on your own account)Sending or uploading unsolicited emails, advertising or promotional materials, offering to sell any goods or services, or conducting or forwarding surveys, contests or chain letters except members working from home as a sole trader in business on their own account.
  4. Knowingly or negligently transmitting or uploading any electronic material (including, without limit, files that contain viruses, corrupted files, or any other similar software or programmes) which is known or likely to cause, interrupt, damage, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer software, hardware or telecommunications equipment owned by Tenerife wifi or any other Internet user or person
  5. Activities that invade another's privacy, cause annoyance, inconvenience or needless anxiety to any person
  6. Activities that are in breach of any other third party's rights, including downloading, installation or distribution of pirated software or other inappropriately licensed software, deletion of any author attributions, legal notices or proprietary designations or labels in any file that is uploaded, falsification of the origin or source of any software or other material
  7. Anything that may disrupt or interfere with Tenerife wifi network or services or cause a host or the network to crash
  8. Launching "denial of service" attacks; "mailbombing" attacks; or "flooding" attacks against a host or network
  9. Granting access to your Tenerife wifi services to others not using your device originally used to contract the service or using multiple devices on one account
  10. Making excessive use of, or placing unusual burdens on, the network, for example by sending or receiving large volumes of email or excessively large email attachments
  11. Circumventing the user authentication or security process of a host or network
  12. Creating, transmitting, storing or publishing any virus, Trojan, corrupting programme or corrupted data
  13. Monitoring or recording the actions of any person entitled to be in your home or business premises without their knowledge or any person or thing outside of your home or premises including, without limitation, any public highway or roadway or another person's home or business premises
  14. Collecting, streaming, distributing or accessing any material that you know, or reasonably should know, cannot be legally collected, streamed, distributed or accessed.

What about security?

You are responsible for ensuring that any member ID and/or password selected by you remain confidential so that the network cannot be used by any unauthorised person.

The member ID and/or password referred to include, but are not limited to, those controlling access to (a) any computer hardware systems or networks; (b) any computer software or applications; or (c) any other services accessed by you in the use of either of the above.

You shall not disclose any member ID or password to any third party, or use the same for any purpose connected with the improper use of the network including accessing or attempting to access other parts of the services for which you do not have access rights.

You are responsible for taking all reasonable steps necessary to prevent a third party obtaining access to the network.

You must immediately advise us if you become aware of any violation or suspected violation of these Security provisions.

What about excessive network usage?

If it's felt that any Tenerife wifi member's Internet activities are so excessive that other members are detrimentally affected, we may give the member generating the excessive web traffic a written warning (by email or otherwise). In extreme circumstances, should the levels of activity not immediately decrease after the warning, we may terminate that member's services.

What happens if the Policy is breached?

If any member's use of these services constitute a breach of this Policy, Tenerife wifi may, at its option and discretion, either give the member notice to stop the unacceptable use(s) or terminate that member's services (with or without notice as Tenerife wifi considers appropriate).
